Edward (Ned) Cooke

Remembered by

Barbara Cooke

Hi my dear Ned,

Thought I would write you a letter like we used to do when we were separated before the days of computer and cell phones. I just wanted you to know that I miss you terribly.  We didn’t have a chance to say a proper goodbye before you left because of the Covid 19 virus.

I wouldn’t have wanted you to stay under the circumstances. I know you were in pain and were ready to leave. I guess I wasn’t ready for it to happen. We had a full life with the usual ups and downs but overall we were very blessed with a wonderful family and the opportunity to grow up together. I think I miss the little things the most. All the day to day living we take for granted. I miss your optimism, words of love and appreciation. I miss talking to you about everything…decisions, minor and major, children, jobs, music, news events, friends and family. It is way too quiet in the house now!! This living alone after 63 years takes some real adjustment. I will let you know how I am doing in my next letter.

I love and miss you so much.

Barbara
