WAY: Widowed and Young

Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg announces a new bereavement support group specifically for young widows and widowers.

This group is for individuals in their 30’s – 50’s who are dealing with the death of a spouse or partner.  Come join us as we explore the unique challenges of being a young widow or widower.

Group sessions begin Thursday, September 13th and occur continually on the 2nd Thursday of each month.

Meeting time is from 7-8:30 PM at Hospice House located at: 4445 Powhatan Parkway Williamsburg, VA 23188.

There is no cost to participants, but donations are encouraged.  Registration is required.

Audrey Smith is the Executive Director of Hospice House & Support Care of Williamsburg (HHSCW). HHSCW is a social-model hospice that cares for people at the end of life, comforts the bereaved and empowers others to do the same. Support care services range from companionship in families' homes to extensive bereavement programs provided to families throughout the community.
